Creating Anti-Tuning-Tuning-Club: A Passion for Car Branding and Unique Digital Modifications
Feb 28, 2022
I have a passion for creating brands associated with cars or automobiles in general. Lately, I've been working on creating vertical-format content for my Instagram account, Arcdesignz.
I usually mod Indian cars to look like they belong to a different reality and make short-form videos. The renders were made in Blender Cycles.
Inspired by the fashion brand Anti Social Social Club and its philosophy of anti-conformity, I decided to create my own brand, Anti-Tuning-Tuning-Club, and incorporated it into my renders as an Easter egg. I believe this concept will resonate with the car community in a country where tuning is often illegal.

I even printed stickers and put them on my car
Someday, I will receive a cease and desist notice from "Anti Social Social Club," and then I will know I'm successful.
Coming to the point, below are some of the renders from those attempts. The community is 3000 people strong, but lately I'm not posting anything because too many cycles is a letdown in terms of effort vs reward. Maybe in the future, I will come up with a better and faster pipeline for the render outputs, and then I will start making vertical format videos again.
Ambassador cars hold a special place in the hearts of Indians. Whether their grandparents owned one or they have childhood memories associated with it, the car is a beloved icon. I have reimagined the Ambassador as a Mad Max-style, post-apocalyptic rig.

This project taught me the importance of exploring unique ideas, creating content that resonates with a specific community, and persisting through the challenges of rendering high-quality 3D content. It also showed me the power of incorporating a brand philosophy into creative work.
